The best choice my husband and I made was to have Rebecca be our doula! I felt supported from the moment I met her she was incredibly knowledgeable and walked us both through the entire process of labor & birth she made sure we both knew all of our options and we talked extensively over all of the wishes we both had regarding birth and postpartum! She helped me achieve my goal of wanting to have no epidural and I honestly could not have done it without the support and calmness that she brought to the whole experience. As a first time father, delivery day brought plenty of nerves for my wife and I. Having an "All Hands On Deck" approach, I decided to hire a doula. I may have been a skeptic going in but not by going out. My wife and I could not have been more pleased with Apricot Doula Care. Such an amazing experience with these doulas! As a second time mom, I wanted to be a bit more specific in how I labored and how I handled the process and rebecca and Hannah were there every step of the way. From communicating throughout the pregnancy to the final weeks before my induction I felt heard and cared for. Hannah attended my delivery and spent the entire day making me laugh, walk, and singing Celine Dion with me. She set the atmosphere to be so intimate and cozy and added so many personal touches to make this such a beautiful experience. During a moment of anxiety Hannah calmed me down and refocused me immediately and made me feel so much more at ease. Rebecca was working with a friend’s sister during her pregnancy, and she came highly recommended. Luckily I was able to squeeze into her schedule; as a first- time Mom, and as a woman, I am so glad we were able to collaborate. She was beyond accommodating, coming to our home in MA for birthing and delivery classes, and would’ve come for our 2nd prenatal except I went into labor a month early. Becka is knowledgeable and kind, helpful and allows space. She supported my partner just as much as she supported me. What a special experience to guide me through this process.
